MIT Blames Humans For More Intense Hurricane Activity

susanne_posel_news_ hurricane_isabel_from_issResearchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have released a study that claims hurricanes will become stronger and more frequent due to man-made climate change.

The study states that increased activity will be seen in the North Pacific, the North Atlantic and the South Indian Oceans.

Kerry Emanuel, atmospheric scientist for MIT has concluded that greenhouse emissions are the cause of a projected 30 to 40% increase in the frequency of tropical cyclones and hurricanes that will become 45% more powerful in the future.

Emanuel said : “We see an increase, in particular, toward the middle of the century. The results surprised us, but we haven’t gotten so far as to understand why this is happening.”

The alarmist admitted that his “study has not established a cause, but we suspect that the projected decrease in man-made aerosol particles may be at least partly responsible.”

Emanuel based these predictions con computer models that simulated storms from 1950 to 2005. The outcome was storms that would make landfall with a 55% increase in severity.

Known as global climate models (GCMs), the data Emanuel used was entered into these computer GCMs to predict what future events would look like.

Judith Curry, climatologist for Georgia Tech, who was not part of the study remarked : “The conclusions from this study rely on a large number of assumptions, many of which only have limited support from theory and observations and hence are associated with substantial uncertainties. Personally, I take studies that project future tropical cyclone activity from climate models with a grain of salt.”

Matthew Huber, climatologist for the Purdue University Climate Research Center (CRC), conducted a study regarding the North Pacific Ocean basin that showed stronger tropical-cyclone activity, frequency and intensity.
Emanuel’s work was used to come up with these conclusions which could be a conflict of interest when determining accuracy and independent study of climatology.

It has been shown with the Vostok data taken from core ice samples in the Antarctic by French scientists, that global warming is not man-made.

The theory of carbon dioxide as being the cause of temperatures rising throughout the globe is accepted as fact without a “scientifically valid mechanism” to prove it.

Climate alarmists dismiss the fact that the sun and solar activity is directly influential to the temperature of our planet – and all other planets in our solar system.

According to a leaked document from the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the warming of the planet is due to “solar variations on the stratosphere” as some studies suggest and this fact may be the reason for “regional impacts on climate.”

In Chapter 11, the IPCC buried the scientific findings concerning solar activity and climate change even though their own evidentiary conclusions come to the same summation. These facts do not fit the IPCC’s previous models and therefore the information was omitted from their documentation.

NASA estimations of solar variations show that they caused 25% of the 1.1 degree F warming that has been scientifically observed over the 20th Century. NASA also confirms that there is evidence the Little Ice Age was caused by the cooling in solar activity – or the end of a warming trend.

Solar activity of heating and cooling affects the temperature of Earth by the magnitude of sun spots and the orbit oscillations taken by our planet.

The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) revealed scientific correlations between sun spot activity levels and the measured cosmic rays entering our planet’s atmosphere which is causational to surface-cooling cloud formations.

Since sunspots are localized magnetic activity coupled with high energy streams of charged particles that shoot out from the sun’s surface, the expulsion of those particles in the solar wind can and do penetrate the Earth’s atmosphere and accumulate in low-level clouds which creates more intensive cloud cover and obvious cooling influences.

Jasper Kirkby, experimental physicist said in 1998 that this solar influence “will probably be able to account for somewhere between half and the whole of the increase in the Earth’s temperature that we have seen in the last century.”

Kirkby created the Cosmics Leaving Outdoor Droplets (CLOUD) that experimentally investigated cosmic rays and aerosols under controlled conditions. CERN posted CLOUD’s progress report which found that there is a connection between cosmic rays and aerosol nucleation in which “Ion‐enhancement is particularly pronounced in the cool temperatures of the mid‐troposphere and above, where CLOUD has found that sulphuric acid and water vapor can nucleate without the need for additional vapors. This result leaves open the possibility that cosmic rays could also influence climate. However, it is premature to conclude that cosmic rays have a significant influence on climate until the additional nucleating vapors have been identified, their ion enhancement measured, and the ultimate effects on clouds have been confirmed.”

David Keith, director of the Institute for Sustainable Energy, Environment and Economy is pushing the releasing of nanotechnology with sulfuric aerosols into the Earth’s atmosphere to reflect sunlight back out into space. Keith manages the million-dollar geoengineering research that is funded by Bill Gates and the Fund for Innovative Climate and Energy Research.

Keith disregards his peers who assert that this action will alter earth’s natural weather patterns while environmental groups decry that geoengineering nullifies their efforts to purport their campaigns to convince the public that man-made climate change is directly causational to human emissions of CO2.

Keith hopes to alter the ozone layer by way of future assaults of sulfate aerosols. Keith explains: “The objective is not to alter the climate, but simply to probe the processes at a micro scale. The direct risk is very small.”

Solar engineering will directly amplify specific areas of study as the have chosen sulfuric dust the mimics the emissions of volcanoes. An intended consequence of solar geoengineering is the whitening of our skies because of the nano particles being released to reflect sunlight. Sulfate aerosols cause whiter daytime skies and sunset to glow brighter.
