The World Health Organization (WHO) is warning about the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corovirus (MER-SARS) as a “threat to the entire world.”
Gregory hart, spokesman for WHO said: “We don’t know how it’s spread. This is one of the big pieces to the puzzle. This is of grave concern to us internationally and WHO because there are so many unknowns around the virus which so far has killed 55% of confirmed cases.”
Despite having no vaccine, an anti-viral drug is being developed as a preventative measure to inoculate the entire world.
Dr. Margret Chan, head of WHO, describes what she calls a great concern: “We understand too little about this virus when viewed against the magnitude of its potential threat. Any new disease that is emerging faster than our understanding is never under control.”
Chan says that this virus cannot be contained or managed by any one nation. Because of this fact, it is a threat of global proportions.
MERS-SARS has an estimated incubation period of 12 days.
It is also believed that animals are the source of transmission to humans, although this has not been corroborated with actual evidence.
Forty-nine cases have been confirmed in countries such as Britain, France Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
Officials are warning the public to monitor symptoms such as:
• Mild respiratory illnesses
• Flu-like symptoms
• Fever
• Upper respiratory-tract infections
• Coughing
Points to consider about the MERS-SARS:
• Widespread transmission hasn’t been seen
• Cases are connected to the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia
• Underlying health conditions may make you more susceptible
• No travel warnings have been issued
• There are no treatments and no vaccine
Dr. Ziad Memish is part of an effort to investigate a cluster of outbreaks in Saudi Arabia. Memish thinks that MERS-SARS is transmitted person-to-person. He said : “They’re from the same town and from the same hospital. We’re still working on it. But none of the patients from yesterday had any relation to al-Ahsa. They actually live outside of al-Ahsa and they have no family contact in al-Ahsa. And we think that there was a community introduction and there was transmission from that community introduction.”
Memish pointed out: “These patients came in and out a few times to the facility,” Memish said. “So trying to find out who are the RTs (respiratory technicians) who looked after them, who are the nurses, who are the physicians, who took blood from them, is it the same person — it’s a very difficult task. But the team is on it 24-7.”
While WHO is focused on inoculating the entire world, Dr. Ali Mohamed Zaki, who analyzed the first sample of mucus taken from the first victim of the new SARS virus and his discovery of the genetic code of the virus has revealed that this genetically engineered virus may have its origins in laboratories working with manipulating a version of a bat flu.
It is suspected by the scientific community that fruit bats that naturally carry many types of coronaviruses could be a “natural reservoir” for this newly discovered SARS. However, WHO originally claimed that the possibility of a bat flu transmitting to humans is unlikely.
Unless this fruit bat flu was genetically engineered – which would make this “jump” possible.
Another part of the puzzle is that The Israeli government has been trying to identify specific genes carried by human of Arab descent in order to create a race-specific bioweapon that would covertly be exposed to Arab populations in order to commit a massive ethnic cleansing. Anonymous Israeli and US intelligence sources claimed that a genetically modified bacterium/virus was being developed as a bio-weapon that could be spread through the air or water supply.
The focus would be certain Arab communities. Dedi Zucker, Israeli parliament member explained: “Morally, based on our history, and our tradition and our experience, such a weapon is monstrous and should be denied.”
Israeli Defense, working with a British defense facility at Porton Down asserts that that this race-specific bio-weapon is possible.
Further experiments into biological weapons specifically tailored to attack Arabs were conducted in a secret Israeli program at the Institute for Biological Research in Nes Tsiona, Tel Aviv. This location houses clandestine chemical and biological weapons as well as scientists that specialize in genetic engineering of deadly micro-organisms that only attack specified genes in humans.
Israeli scientists have successfully identified the genetic profile of Arab communities with an emphasis on those of Iraqi descent. The plan is to plant a virus or bacteria in the local water supply or spray it in the air.
The British Medical Association became interested in the Israeli endeavors to create an Arab-specific virus as a form of warfare that could be devastating in a more effective way than conventional means. According to Britain’s Biological Defense Ministry, “We have reached a point now where there is an obvious need for an international convention to control biological weapons.”
